Fire Weather Warning in effect for Sheridan County

Much of northeast Wyoming and southeast Montana is under a Red Flag or Fire Weather Warning from noon until midnight tonight. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected to develop. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and hot temperatures will cause extreme Fire behavior. Winds could gust up to 45 mph and temps could reach as high as 93-100. While it is probably best not to do any controlled burns this afternoon an evening, if you must be extraordinarily careful. A few thunderstorms might be possible from 2-8 p.m. *file photo* #dally #news
