Ryon Marie Countryman

Ryon Marie Countryman

Our beloved daughter, Ryon Marie Countryman was born August 10, 1997 in Lander, WY at the Lander Valley Medical Center at 2:34pm. She weighed 6 pounds 8.7 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Ryon was a fan and supported her older brother and sisters. She danced to the warm up music at the basketball, volleyball, and soccer games. She sat with the wrestling team during meets and her older brother held her until he had to warm up for his match. She was passed to the next wrestler’s open/welcoming arms. She supported her younger brother with encouraging words from the stand and at home.

Ryon always had a smile on her face and took pride in all of her endeavors. She wanted things to be perfect. When she would become discouraged, we would remind her that true greatness doesn’t come easy. She would buckle down and press on.

She loved to sew, paint, throw pottery, and other crafts. She liked to make her gifts to give to others. She would secretly work on projects for weeks and she loved to see the reaction of the receiver of her gift. Ryon sold wreaths, Safeway cards, and worked other jobs to travel to Costa Rica with her beloved Señora and classmates, to Washington D.C. for “Close Up”, and to Australia to play volleyball in “Down Under Sports” games. These travels introduced her to new and wonderful people who became dear friends. She gained valuable experience in speaking to people and working hard through 4-H and FFA and showing steers. Ryon had the biggest heart, loved life and the opportunities around her.

Ryon was studying to be a Speech Language Pathologist. She was excited to help people and make a difference in their lives. Her smile and bubbly personality will be greatly missed. She has another calling now, to help beyond the veil, make a difference, and continue to help others. There is much work to do and she will be in the lead doing her part to the best of her ability.

Ryon is preceded in death by her Grandparents Donald Wilson and Bessie Irvine, Patricia and Edmond Lacson, and Efren Sandoval. Great Grandparents Othello and Lera Brown, and Newell and Mary Passey. She is survived by her parents Vance and Jana Countryman; brothers Shawn (Julia) Countryman and Garrett Countryman; sisters Kiri (Drew) Porter and Brittany Countryman; Grandparents Wynn and Joyce Brown; Nephews Aleq, Rhees, Mick, Jace, Robby and Nieces Daphne and Lexi; Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

In Lieu of flowers, we would like to set up a Memorial Fund scholarship in Ryon’s name at Central Bank and Trust, for a graduate of Lander Valley High School.
