FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., February 14, 2019 – Deckorators® composite porch flooring and cable deck railing have been featured on an episode of Emmy-award winning home improvement TV show This Old House on PBS. Both products are part of the Deckorators line of lifestyle-enhancing decking and railing products that personalize an outdoor living space.
A leading brand of Universal Forest Products (Nasdaq: UFPI), Deckorators donated composite porch flooring and cable railing for the Jamestown Net-Zero House. The early-1900s cottage in Jamestown, Rhode Island, is being renovated and enlarged with energy-consciousness in mind for a young family.
In Season 40, Episode 13, which aired Feb. 7, 2019, This Old House host Kevin O’Connor, general contractor Tom Silva, and builder Jeff Sweenor of Sweenor Builders Inc. showed that Deckorators composite porch flooring in Kettle (gray color) was used to create a front porch, back porch, and screened-in side porch for the Net-Zero House. Deckorators porch flooring offers the traditional look of painted wood in an ultra low-maintenance composite.
The episode also showed Deckorators stainless steel cable railing, which offers a sleek, contemporary appearance.
