Deckorators® Expands Voyage Composite Decking Line Ideal for Waterside Projects
Khaya and varied-plank decking join offering of slip-resistant decking
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., November 7, 2019 – Deckorators® has expanded its line of Deckorators® VoyageTM composite decking that is perfect for pool, spa, hot tub and dock applications. The leading manufacturer of composite decking, deck railing, balusters, post caps and related products now offers Voyage in a fifth color — Khaya, a true brown — and varied-plank decking.
Khaya (true brown) joins four other trend-forward color options in the Deckorators Voyage decking offering: Sierra (dark gray), Tundra (gray), Costa (golden brown), and Mesa (red brown). Voyage varied-plank decking is available in all five colors and widths of 3½ inches, 5½ inches and 7¼ inches.
Made with patented EovationsTM technology that allows virtually no water absorption, Deckorators Voyage decking also features textured embossing that provides 34 percent or greater surface traction than other leading brands of composite decking. The slip-resistant decking offers homeowners the enhanced safety of superior traction underfoot in both dry and wet conditions.
Voyage is backed by a 25-year structural, 25-year stain-and-fade and 25-year removal-and-replacement limited warranty that includes water and ground contact. Deckorators is one of the only brands in the industry to stand behind installations in, or in contact with, water or ground.
“EovationsTM technology, slip resistance and water-contact warranty coverage make Voyage ideal for waterside projects,” said Chris Camfferman, managing director of marketing for Deckorators. “New Khaya and varied-plank decking drastically increase the design possibilities for contractors who work on projects such as pools, spas, hot tubs and docks.”
Khaya is available in 12-, 16- and 20-foot grooved and solid-edge profiles, as well as 12-foot fascia. The 3½- and 7¼-inch widths of multi-plank decking come in a 20-foot length; the 5½-inch multi-plank option is available in 12-, 16- and 20-foot lengths. All Voyage varied-plank decking is available in grooved and solid-edge profiles.
Made with polypropylene and mineral filler in a process exclusive to EovationsTM, Voyage decking absorbs virtually no moisture because it contains no organic material. Decking with Eovations technology significantly outperformed leading competitive wood-plastic composite decking in 2018 water absorption testing. Voyage decking was tested against other leading capped composite deck boards in wet conditions by an independent third-party lab under the AS/NZS 4586-2013 standard.
Like other members of the Deckorators EovationsTM decking family — Vault and Frontier — Voyage composite decking is 35 percent lighter than most wood-plastic composite decking, offers the industry’s best strength-to-weight ratio, absorbs virtually no moisture, and offers the market’s lowest thermal expansion/contraction.
Deckorators Khaya and varied-plank decking will be available for the 2020 deck-building season. For more information, visit www.Deckorators.com/DeckExpo, call 800-332-5724 and follow Deckorators on Instagram @Deckorators.
