Tulsa men’s clothing shop asking customers to “Give Big, Shop Small” the last 12 days of Christmas

Travers Mahan Fine Apparel supporting John 3:16 by offering discounts for donations

Tulsa, Okla. – As we close in on the final 12 days of Christmas, Travers Mahan Fine Apparel is encouraging shoppers throughout Tulsa to “give big, shop small” this holiday season. In addition to promoting “shop small and shop local”, they are also focusing on giving back. They are a partner and a collection site for John 3:16 Mission during the holidays and all year long. To encourage people to give they are offering special discounts. Anyone who brings in 20 or more non-perishable food items will receive 20% off their purchase of $100 or more.

John 3:16 Mission says they desperately need canned goods right now to feed those in need. Their wish list includes peanut butter, canned meats, cream of mushroom soup and cream of chicken soup

“In addition to helping the John 3:16 mission, we also want to thank our customers who support us throughout the year and are so generous as well. Offering the discount is just a small way we can show our customers how much we appreciate them,” explained owner Travers Mahan.

Travers Mahan Fine Apparel is in the Plaza Shopping Center at 81st and Lewis, which is full of many locally owned businesses. Owners Travers and Laurie Mahan are big proponents of supporting small, locally owned businesses.

“We have been part of the small business community for more than 25 years. It is so important for everyone in the community to shop locally whenever possible,” explained owner Laurie Mahan. “By spending money at local stores, your taxes into our community. You are helping pay for our roads, schools and first responders. All of this helps make Tulsa a better place to live.

The Travers Mahan team also supports local vendors and businesses, buying supplies and services from them. Laurie and Travers Mahan both grew up in Tulsa, went to college in Oklahoma and raised their family here. They give to the John 3:16 Mission throughout the year and want to focus on helping the charity this holiday season.

The fine apparel store is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. For more information, please contact Diane White, Diane@DianeWhitePR.com or by calling 918-770-3905. Please click here for the online version and a link to photos.
