Doughnut Lounge partners with Brent Gunnels for sustainable 5-course Valentine’s Day dinner on Feb. 14
Doughnut Lounge’s Nathan Prior and former Julep Executive Chef create sustainability-focused dinner
Kansas City, Mo. (Feb. 6, 2017) – Doughnut Lounge’s Nathan Prior and former Julep Executive Chef Brent Gunnels partner together to bring a five-course dinner for two to Doughnut Lounge on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, Feb. 14.
Doughnut Lounge’s Valentine’s Day dinner not only promotes collaboration, but also sustainable cooking. A whole lamb will be bought and utilized in every way possible. Each of the three dinners will feature a different cut of lamb: leg of lamb, lamb shank and rack of lamb, and seating availability pairs with the portion availability of each cut. The entire lamb will be utilized throughout the dinner to eliminate food waste.
Each course will be plated to be shared to encourage guests to spend the evening enjoying each other’s company. There will be three seatings of the five-course meal for two, with slots open for a total of 12 couples and 16 singles at $65 per guest. The singles seating will only be open to single people who are open to sharing a dinner with a stranger.
The first five-course round will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m., with a second seating at 7:30 p.m. and the third round, “Dinner with a Stranger,” following at 9 p.m. Those interested can make reservations for the 6 p.m. dinner at http://bit.ly/2kjeHjb, the 7:30 p.m. dinner at http://bit.ly/2kj233s and the singles dinner at http://bit.ly/2kj87cB.
