Several Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. Attorneys Recognized as 2017 Ohio Super Lawyers

CINCINNATI and DAYTON, Ohio— The 2017 edition of Super Lawyers Magazine has recognized several Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. attorneys for their noteworthy talents in law.

Attorney’s Recognized:

• Partner, Charlie Faruki has been named to the 2017 edition of Ohio Super Lawyers receiving the second-most votes this year. He has made the "Top 10 in Ohio" list consecutively since the poll began in 2004, and was also listed to the “Top 50 Attorneys in Cincinnati” list this year.

• Managing Partner, Jeff Ireland has been named to the 2017 edition of Ohio Super Lawyers. Ireland has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Attorneys in Cincinnati and the Top 100 in Ohio.

• Partner, Jeff Cox was named to the 2017 edition of Ohio Super Lawyers.

About Each Attorney:

Charlie Faruki, a trial lawyer with a focus on business litigation, was one of the founders of Faruki Ireland & Cox in 1989. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, past president of the Dayton Bar Association, and of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Faruki has chaired the Ohio Supreme Court's Commission on Continuing Legal Education, as well as the Board of Trustees of the United States Air Force Museum Foundation. Additionally, he chaired the Bar Examination Committee of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and is a longtime member and past Chair of the Board of Governors of the Antitrust Law Section of the Ohio State Bar Association, and is a past Chair of the Federal Courts and Practice Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association.

A founding partner of Faruki Ireland & Cox and recognized each year by his peers in the Ohio Super Lawyer poll, Jeff Ireland has tried cases throughout the United States in federal and state courts. His practice focuses on employment, trade secrets, competitive issues, advertising and class actions. He was selected as a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers and The Litigation Counsel of America. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, Ohio State Bar Foundation and Dayton Bar Foundation. Ireland is a past president of the Dayton Bar Association. He has served as a board member or board chair on a variety of not-for-profit organizations. The University of Dayton School of Law awarded him its Distinguished Alumni Award for his service to the community and the profession. Ireland is the firm's managing partner.

Jeff Cox has tried cases in both state and federal courts, and has handled numerous arbitrations and mediations before the American Arbitration Association. His practice includes class action defense, privacy and data protection, intellectual property litigation, federal regulatory investigations, products liability, media, advertising, competition and other business litigation. Cox has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer every year. He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, the Ohio State Bar Foundation and the Dayton Bar Foundation. Jeff is on the Board of Directors of the Federal Litigation Section of the Federal Bar Association and edits the Litigation Section's national newsletter. He also serves on the FBA's Government Relations Committee and Professional Ethics Committee. Cox served three terms as Board Chair of Chaminade Julienne High School, and is a member of the Community Resource Board for WYSO 91.3 FM – the greater Dayton public radio station and NPR affiliate.

Erin Rhinehart is a Partner with Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. Her litigation practice focuses on media and communications law (First Amendment, defamation, privacy, public records, advertising, social media, trademark, and copyright litigation), breach of contract and tortious interference, class action defense, and environmental matters. Erin has significant trial experience in federal and state courts across the country. She has first-chair jury trial experience, and has argued before various appellate courts in Ohio. Erin has been repeatedly recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star, a peer-based review of the top two and one-half percent of Ohio lawyers 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less; and selected for the 2016 edition of the inaugural Benchmark Litigation Under 40 Hot List, a list of the nation's top litigation partners 40 years of age and younger. She is an active member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Women's Bar Association and the Dayton Bar Association, and has held various leadership positions within these organizations. Currently, Erin serves as the 2016-2017 Chair of the Ohio State Bar Association Media Law Committee, and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association Content Advisory Board, and Law360 Media & Entertainment Law Editorial Board. She is also a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and American Bar Foundation. Erin has been recognized by the Dayton Business Journal as one of Dayton's 40 Under 40 honorees, and is a 2012 graduate of the Leadership Dayton program.
