AD99 Solutions Foundation Receives $10,000 Donation from DICK’S Sporting Goods

Funds to support full-time scholarships to help Pittsburgh youth to receive free access to all of the Foundation’s academic, athletic, and leadership programming

Pittsburgh, PA -- NFL veteran Aaron Donald’s AD99 Solutions Foundation announced a gift of $10,000 from DICK’S Sporting Goods. The donation will be added to the Foundation’s fund to provide disadvantaged youth with tuition-free access to the organization’s academic, athletic, and leadership development services. DICK’S Sporting Goods is a previous in-kind sponsor of the Foundation’s annual youth football skills camp.

“As a new organization, AD99 Solutions is incredibly fortunate to have a company like DICK’S Sporting Goods make multiple commitments to help us deliver athletic and academic opportunities to Pittsburgh’s youth,” said AD99 Solutions Foundation executive director Akita Donald.

The Foundation’s annual scholarship recipients are Pittsburgh area students, in grades 9-12, who’ve demonstrated financial need and ability to benefit long-term from the Foundation’s offerings. Each student will receive leadership and interpersonal development training, academic tutoring and SAT/ACT prep, and athletic skills training in a safe and welcoming environment. The four 2019 recipients were recently announced.

“At DICK’S, we believe sports make people better, and partnering with organizations like Aaron’s Foundation help ensure kids continue to have access to the life lessons sports can teach,” said Colleen Wilson, Manager of Community and Corporate Relations, DICK’S Sporting Goods. “We’re happy to support a great hometown athlete like Aaron and his efforts here in the Pittsburgh area.”
