Ribbon Cutting and Opportunity to Meet Staff and Tour the New Facility Scheduled October 6

(Riverton, Wyo.) - September 30, 2016—The doors open for business Monday morning at a new location for Community Health Centers of Central Wyoming, now located at 2002 West Sunset, Suite 2 in Riverton.

The location, next door to Fremont Therapy, makes it ideal for patients, with easy access to Sage West’s Riverton hospital, according to Cole White, interim CEO and CFO for CHCCW. An open house and ribbon cutting at the new site is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend the event. Light refreshments, door prizes and tours of the facility are planned. It’s also an opportunity for the public to meet the CHCCW staff.

“CHCCW reflects the broad service coverage offered in Riverton for Family Practice and Women’s Health,” said White. Steve Jarrard, MD, and Tara Blumenshine, Certified Nurse Midwife, provide a variety of quality health care services to county residents, including: family and internal medicine, women’s health, physical exams for sports and jobs, laboratory work, chronic disease management, comprehensive well child care, pharmacy assistance and specialist referrals.

Dr. Jarrard brings 25-plus years of emergency room experience in Fremont County, along with his experience as a general practice physician to CHCCW. He is certified in American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Blumenshine’s primary focus is women’s health. She has six years of experience as an obstetric nurse with the Riverton hospital and has worked as a nurse for Four Corners and Fremont Community Health Center.  She has a Master’s of Science in nursing from Frontier Nursing University.
