Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association announces Restaurateur of the Year, Andy Lock and Domhnall Molloy of Summit Group, LLC.
Restaurateur of the Year to receive honors at GKCRA Inaugural Gala on January 27, 2018
KANSAS CITY, MO. (Oct. 13, 2017) – The Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association (GKCRA) announces Andy Lock and Domhnall Molloy, owners of Summit Group, LLC., are the Restaurateur of the Year. This esteemed award is the highest honor a member can receive from the GKCRA.
The Restaurateur of the Year award will be presented at the Inaugural Gala on January 27, 2018 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Olathe, KS. The annual event celebrates the individuals and businesses making an impact in the Kansas City restaurant industry.
The Inaugural Gala serves as one of the largest fundraising opportunities for the organization during the year, providing funds for scholarships and grants to students pursuing careers in the hospitality industry throughout the greater Kansas City area as well as to other scholars across the state. As an active member organization, GKCRA supports the hospitality and restaurant industry. The GKCRA is also one of the founding sponsors of Kansas City Restaurant Week which has donated a combined total of nearly $1.75 million to area nonprofit organizations over the course of its first eight years.

Summit Group, LLC. was founded by owners Andy Lock and Domhnall Molloy in 2012 when they opened Summit Grill in Lee’s Summit. The restaurateurs have since opened five additional concepts throughout the Lee’s Summit and Kansas City areas including a second Summit Grill location, Third Street Social, Boru Ramen Bar, Lakewood Local, and Summit Cellar & Spirits.
