Company of the Year to receive honor at GKCRA Inaugural Gala on January 27, 2018

KANSAS CITY, MO. (Oct. 25, 2017) – The Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association (GKCRA) announces Hiland Dairy as the Company of the Year for 2017. This esteemed award is the highest honor a member can receive from the GKCRA.

The Company of the Year award will be presented at the Inaugural Gala on January 27, 2018 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Olathe, KS. The annual event celebrates the individuals and businesses making an impact in the Kansas City restaurant industry.

The Inaugural Gala serves as one of the largest fundraising opportunities for the organization during the year, providing funds for scholarships and grants to students pursuing careers in the hospitality industry throughout the greater Kansas City area as well as to other scholars across the state. As an active member organization, GKCRA supports the hospitality and restaurant industry. The GKCRA is also one of the founding sponsors of Kansas City Restaurant Week which has donated a combined total of nearly $1.75 million to area nonprofit organizations over the course of its first eight years.

2017 GKCRA Company of the Year – Hiland Dairy

Hiland Dairy was born in America’s heartland, beginning with a small herd of cows and a couple of trucks delivering farm-fresh milk to local grocers. Today, they continue to proudly support the communities in which we live and the businesses whose customers rely on their wholesome products every day. Just as it was back in 1938, the company is still led by people whose professional lives are dedicated to the industry. Their passion for this business extends from their president to their farm families and all the way to the drivers of their deliver fleet. For more information, visit:
