Wendy Pardee, Ph. D., is new Hattie Larlham CEO

Hattie Larlham, a leading provider of programs and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, proudly announces Wendy Pardee, Ph.D., as its new chief executive officer.

“I am honored to have been given an opportunity to shape Hattie Larlham’s future,” said Pardee. “Our services will connect more Ohioans with intellectual and developmental disabilities to people and resources in their community. This opportunity is a great responsibility and one that I am eager to undertake on behalf of the people Hattie Larlham serves.”

Pardee was appointed Hattie Larlham CEO on November 1, 2016. She was selected for the position following a national search. Pardee succeeds Hattie Larlham Emeritus CEO Dennis Allen, who led the organization for 28 years.

“Wendy is a dynamic leader who is deeply committed to Hattie Larlham’s mission,” said Hattie Larlham Care Group Board of Directors President Michael Weinhardt. “Her breadth of experience and passion for innovation make her an excellent choice as Hattie Larlham moves forward to proactively address the needs of those we serve.”

Pardee and her family moved to Hudson, Ohio, from Central Pennsylvania. She has more than 15 years experience in human services. Pardee was formerly chief executive officer for Skills of Central Pennsylvania, a $50 million intellectual disability and behavioral healthcare provider.

Pardee has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Management of Information Systems, a Master’s in Business Administration and a Doctorate in Administration and Leadership Studies. She has served on community health councils, YMCA boards, community daycare boards, the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association board, the Center Area Transportation Authority Board and the American Association of University Women.
