Jax Fish House will bring Kansas City’s brightest female culinary stars under one roof on Oct. 11 for 2nd annual Females on Fire dinner

A total of 13 Kansas City female talents will create a 5-course dinner with drink pairings

 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 21, 2016) – Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar will show off the culinary chops of Kansas City’s female talent on Oct. 11 during its second annual Females on Fire dinner. Seven Kansas City chefs and six local sommeliers and cicerones are teaming up to bring guests an amuse bouche and five-course dinner with drink pairings, completely created by female talent in the Kansas City restaurant scene.

 

This year’s featured chefs include Julian Owner and Chef Celina Tio, CaVa Sous Chef Elise Landry, Krokstrom Klubb Chef Katee McLean, Kelly Conwell with Stock Hill Kansas City Steakhouse and Novel Pastry Chef Jessica Armstrong, as well as Chef de Cuisine Theresia Ota and Executive Chef Sheila Lucero from Jax Fish House’s own kitchen. The drink portion of the dinner can be credited to Clare Gillette with Pinnacle Imports, sommelier Jennifer Daugherty, Jax Fish House Assistant General Manager and cicerone Margaret Adams, cicerone and BackNapkin Marketing Director Erica Schulte, Restless Spirits Distilling Owner Benay Shannon and Ca Va sommelier Caitlin Corcoran.

 

The Females on Fire dinner will start promptly at 6 p.m. on Oct. 11 at Jax Fish House and will feature five courses with drink pairings for $125 per person. Reservations must be made by Oct. 10 by calling Jax Fish House at (816) 437-7940.
