Pittsburgh Couple Helps Families Save Money & Turn Spring Cleaning Clutter Into Cash. Just Between Friends Kids Consignment May 17-19 at Wildwood Sports Complex

Last chance this season for families to save and make money before summer!

Pittsburgh, PA – Spring is winding down and summer is almost here. Many families continue to spend time spring cleaning and decluttering. The American Cleaning Institute says 75% of families participate in this spring ritual. Between that and the Marie Kondo craze, decluttering is the big trend this spring.

One local couple is helping those families turn that spring clutter into cash at their big kids’ consignment event. Other families can shop and save 50 to 90% on items they need for their families. The event is May 17th – 19th at the Wildwood Sports Complex at Wildwood highlands.

Local couple Kelly and Jed Robie have five kids and know firsthand how expensive it can be to raise a family. They organize the Just Between Friends Event to help other families save and make money. They also focus on safety, inspecting all items and pulling recalled and dangerous items.

Safety Update: After the American Academy of Pediatrics called for a recall of the Fisher Price Rock n’ Play Sleeper, Just Between Friends stopped accepting them on April 10th. The CPSC officially recalled them on April 12th.

JBF is the only children’s consignment event with a recall specialist on its team to ensure items are safe. JBF’s experts work closely with the CPSC as well as safety groups Kids in Danger and We Make It Safer to keep families informed. They inspect all items as they come in and pull anything that has been recalled or deemed unsafe for kids. This will happen on

Make Money: Local families sign up as consignors and “turn clutter into cash.” Consignors use JBF’s online system to price and tag their own items and then drop them off at the event. JBF does the rest of the work handling the sales.Consignors earn 60% of the sales and 70% if they volunteer during the event.

Save Money: At JBF, families can find items they need for their family, from maternity to teen at 50% to 90% off retail prices They can find deals on clothing and accessories, shoes, toys, baby equipment, furniture, outdoor equipment, game systems and electronics, books, and much more.
