Local Mom Helps Families Turn Spring Cleaning Clutter into Cash. Just Between Friends Children’s Consignment Event set for March 13 – 15 at Burns Road Recreation Center.

Families can save & make money at Greater Palm Beach community consignment event

Palm Beach Gardens, FL – Now that spring is in the air, many families will be cleaning house and clearing out clutter. The American Cleaning Institute says three out of four families participate in spring cleaning and many families can turn that clutter into extra cash at a big spring children’s consignment event. Just Between Friends of Greater Palm Beach Consignment Event (JBF) is set for March 13 – 15 at the Burns Road Recreation Center.  This event helps families save money and make money.

MAKE MONEY: JBF helps families “turn spring cleaning clutter into cash” at their events. Local families sign up as consignors, price and tag their own items and bring them to the venue. JBF does the rest of the work. Consignors earn between 60 and 70 percent of the sale. The average consignor check is more than $300. Families can use this money to pay off debt.

SAVE MONEY: JBF offers a great way for families to save money on spring and summer items. Shoppers can typically save 50 – 90% on everything they need for their families: clothing, shoes, toys, games, books, kids gear, baby equipment, furniture and much more.

SAFETY: The Consumer Product Safety Commission says at least two children’s items are recalled each week. That’s why JBF has a recall expert on their team who works closely with the CPSC as well as safety groups Kids in Danger and We Make It Safer to keep families informed. They inspect items as they come in and pull anything that has been recalled or deemed unsafe for kids. You can cover this at their drop off on Wednesday, March 11th from 2:00 pm. - 7:30 pm.

PROTECTING FAMILIES: JBF is also expanding its voluntary ban on Fisher Price Rock n’ Play sleepers and the Kids II Sleeper by banning all inclined sleepers, hammocks and wedges and crib bumpers at all events. In addition, to help prevent child deaths and injuries caused by furniture tip-overs, JBF will provide furniture tip-over restraints and a Furniture Tip-Over Prevention Sheet when they sell furniture 27” tall and higher.
