Kansas City Restaurant Week plans for its eighth consecutive year with fresh, new branding    140 restaurants across the metro area are already registered for the 10-day dining event, Jan. 13-22KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 26, 2016) – Kansas City Restaurant Week presented by US Foods is ushering in its eighth annual event, January 13-22, 2017, with a fresh, new look. The rebrand for the 2017 event and future Restaurant Weeks utilizes a new logo and color scheme for the 10-day dining event. Founding partners Visit KC and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association recognized the need for a new look for the city’s premier dining event as restaurants from every corner of the metro now participate in the event. The new look will promote more cohesive branding across all Kansas City Restaurant Week elements. Additionally, for the first time in Restaurant Week history, participating restaurants will offer lunch and dinner menus under two price tiers - $15 and $33. The two prices are interchangeable, allowing each participating restaurant to customize a lunch and/or dinner menu that best represents its dining experience. Restaurant Week menus highlight existing, specially created and limited-time-only dishes from participating restaurants’ chefs and culinary teams. Currently, 140 restaurants are enrolled to participate in the 2017 event, benefiting five local organizations. Donations raised during the 2017 event will benefit BoysGrow, an urban-farming initiative whose mission is to teach entrepreneurism to urban male youth; Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, an organization offering training and educational programs to visually-impaired children and their families; and Cultivate Kansas City, an organization providing incentives for low-income families to shop at local farmers markets. The Kansas City Regional Destination Development Foundation and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association Education Foundation will also receive a share of the 2017 donations. Over the course of its first seven years, Kansas City Restaurant Week has donated a combined total of nearly $1.4 million to area nonprofit organizations. 2017 Kansas City Restaurant Week Participating Restaurants (as of Nov. 29, 2016)2017 Kansas City Restaurant Week SponsorsFounding SponsorsGreater Kansas City Restaurant AssociationVisit KC Presenting SponsorUS Foods Gold Plate SponsorsInk MagazineKansas City Star Silver Spoon SponsorsCentral States Beverage CompanyKansas City Power & Light DistrictPage Communications Bronze Fork Sponsors435 MagazineCountry Club PlazaExcel LinenFeast MagazineThe IndependentKC102.1 FMKMBC 9Mix 93.3 FMOpen TableOutfront MediaPepsiThe PitchQ104 FMRecommended Daily Strategic PartnersAll Packaging Company, Inc.Anna Petrow PhotographyYelp Kansas City Friends of Kansas City Restaurant WeekKCUR 89.3 FMAbout Kansas City Restaurant Week Kansas City Restaurant Week (KCRW) is KC’s premier dining event founded by the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association and Visit KC in an effort to support the regional restaurant community. 2017 marks the eighth year for the 10-day dining event, spotlighting KC as one of the country's premier dining and vacationing destinations.
