LAS VEGAS (August 29, 2018) – Marshall Retail Group, one of the largest, independent specialty retailers in the airport marketplace, has opened its newest retail and souvenir concept, Root & Branch inside the Marketplace of Terminal 2 at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). The new store reflects the essence and culture of North Carolina to both locals and travelers.


The new concept, founded by two Raleigh-based artisan boutique owners, is inspired by the local artistry of the surrounding city, reflecting its heritage and traditions. With 60 percent of the store’s products deriving from North Carolina, the collaboration showcases the roots of the city, while branching out to travelers across the United States and beyond.

Michael C Wilkins, CEO, Marshall Retail Group expressed his thoughts on the opening of the new concept: “We’re excited to bring together the city’s culture together in one place for visitors and locals to browse some of the best artistic pieces and locally-sourced products the city has to offer.
