LaneTerralever and Siteimprove Partner to Address Website Accessibility Requirements Under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA)
Following an influx of ADA compliance lawsuits, the partnership will help brands understand and improve the website accessibility through diagnostics, reporting, design and development
PHOENIX – August 22, 2017 – Lawsuits against organizations with websites not compliant with the American Disabilities Act are on the rise. In the first four months of 2017, lawsuits increased by 18 percent from the same time in the previous year, according to The Seyfarth ADA Title III News & Insights Blog.
These numbers are causing concern across the business landscape, with many brands worrying whether their websites meet accessibility compliance.
But there’s good news. Organizations who work to comply now have a major advantage in the coming years – these websites will support greater access to their online content, while also avoiding costly and time-intensive lawsuits.
A new partnership between digital marketing agency LaneTerralever and global software-as-a-service company Siteimprove, announced today, aims to support these brands as they proactively work toward an inclusive digital presence.
Siteimprove, the industry-leading provider of comprehensive web accessibility testing software and services, will serve as the partnership’s first line of defense to digital accessibility compliance, with a sophisticated diagnostic and reporting platform that can identify vulnerabilities in any website.
LaneTerralever, an agency with deep digital and complex web build expertise, will serve as the “fixer.” Strategic insights gleaned from diagnostics will be developed into a solution-based roadmap for site improvements across design, user experience (UX), user interface (UI) and development, ultimately bringing the site into compliance.
“Under today’s regulations, organizations of all sizes are responsible for ensuring web properties meet ADA compliance standards,” said Chris Johnson, LaneTerralever’s President. “Through our partnership with Siteimprove, LaneTerralever will offer education and a solution to increase access and mitigate future issues.”
“We are excited to work with LaneTerralever to support organizations that strive to build accessible communities,” said Mike Carlson, Director of Sales for North America at Siteimprove. “Improved access to information and services for all members of the digital community must be a priority now.”
Johnson continued, “This partnership is a win-win for organizations, as we bring a detailed and complete accessibility solution at a market-competitive price point.”
