Hello, My name is Lloyd
Hello, my name is Lloyd Larsen and I am running for a third term for the Wyoming State House of Representatives in District #54. I am asking for your vote in the General Election on November 8, 2016.
Wyoming has the type of environment where I chose to live and raise my family. Wyoming has the type of work environment that has allowed me to succeed in reaching many of my goals. I want to ensure that everyone in the state has the freedom and opportunities to become whatever they want to become.
To do this I feel it is important to:
- Protect Family Values
- Keep State Government Small
- Maintain Fiscal Responsibility in Government Spending (my position)
- Provide Quality Educational Opportunities
- Protect Wyoming’s State Rights from Federal Intrusion
- Allow Multiple Uses of Our Public Lands (my position)
I am honored to receive the endorsements of
- Wyoming Contractors Association
- Wyoming Petroleum Association
- Wyoming Contractors Coalition
- Wyoming Mining Association*
- The Wyoming Fuel Marketers Association
- The National Federation of Independent Business
- The National Rifle Association
My Father, my brother, and I owned a service and construction company that served the petroleum industry for thirty-one years. During that time nearly all of our employees were from Fremont County. I understand the challenges that come with being in business such as: finding and maintaining a customer base, hiring quality employees, payroll, and health insurance. I also understand the challenges placed on business by government regulations.
Since being elected to the House of Representatives I have been serving on the Minerals, Business, and Economic Development Committee, the Labor Health and Social Services Committee where I currently serve as Vic-Chairman, and the Select Committee on Tribal Relations. While serving on these committees I found that my business experiences have been critical in helping me make decisions that I felt were in the best interest of the State and its citizens.
I am currently serving as the Co-Chairman of the joint Legislative and Executive Task Force on Department of Health Facilities, which has been involved the last three years in a very aggressive effort to address the buildings and services provided to the citizens of our state being served by the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston and the Wyoming Life Resource Center in Lander. This effort is past due and the legislature is committed to see this effort move forward.
My wife, Becky, and I have been married 37 years and have lived in Lander since 1980. We are the parents of six children and grandparents to eight grandchildren, soon to be eleven.
I hope my efforts thus far in the legislature are worthy of you and your family’s trust, and confidence. I would appreciate your vote on November 8th.

* Endorsement of Rep. Lloyd Larsen
In the legislative process it is imperative that a legislator stay on top of critical issues, be connected to his constituents on a consistent basis, and have the resolve to vote what is best for the State of Wyoming and his district. Rep. Lloyd Larsen has demonstrated all of the above qualities and then some. Lloyd is a small businessman who truly gets what it takes for the Wyoming economy to grow and prosper. In these difficult economic times, having Rep. Larsen "at the table" on discussions guarantees the voice of small business and all that benefit from small business, will be heard. Rep. Larsen also understands that not all in Wyoming fare as well as others. His sense of government's appropriate role is balanced with fiscal conservative values...a quality that assures that all issues will be addressed responsibly and with a focus on pragmatic results that are measurable and effective. Rep. Larsen is a well respected, rising star in the legislature. His real world experience and strong spiritual convictions, finely hone Larsen as a reasoned, experienced and capable legislator. The bottom line this election is that a district assure that they send the very best to represent them in Cheyenne. The Wyoming Petroleum Marketers Association can unequivocally state that Lloyd Larsen is a proven and effective legislator that has earned your respect and importantly, your vote. Please help the state of Wyoming and the 54th District by sending the best from Lander and Fremont County. Representative Lloyd Larsen is that person.
