Women in Wine: Lidia’s Kansas City celebrates female Italian winemakers during August Wine Wednesday tasting

Maria Megna of The Winebow Group will host the monthly tasting Aug. 15 featuring six wine samples with paired appetizers for $35 per person

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 2, 2018) – Lidia’s Kansas City will celebrate women in wine during its monthly wine tasting and educational event on Wednesday, Aug. 15. Led by guest host Maria Megna, regional manager for The Winebow Group, the August tasting will highlight five wines produced by female winemakers from various Italian regions. 


Lidia’s August Wine Wednesday tasting starts at 6 p.m. in the restaurant’s private Terrazza. The cost is $35 per person plus tax and gratuity, which includes six total wine samples and paired appetizers. Reservations for Wine Wednesday are recommended but not required. Rita Tua of Tua Rita, Tuscany, Italy


One of the most celebrated wineries in Tuscany's Maremma since their first vintage in 1992, Tua Rita has achieved cult-like status for its Redigaffi, the winery's 100-point Merlot, and continues to craft some of the most sought-after wines in the world.

Valentina, Meri and Alessandra Tessari of Suavia, Veneto, Italy 


Working on land that has been in their family since the 1800s, the Tessari sisters are dedicated to creating terroir-specific, quality Soave wines, using only the native Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave varieties.

Raffaella Rossi of Villa Remotti, Piemonte, Italy
