Voya Offers Full-Time Employees 40 Hours Paid Volunteer Time Annually

Creating A Positive Corporate Culture: Companies Offering Employees Paid Time Off to Volunteer


WHAT: On Tuesday, May 15, Voya Financial celebrates its National Day of Service (NDOS) with hundreds of employees serving nonprofits at 21 locations across metro Atlanta. Hundreds of local employees are expected to volunteer at local nonprofits, including Feeding Children Everywhere, Second Helpings Atlanta, the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Covenant House.

Employees choose their locations from a range of activities geared toward their individual passions and interests. Other Atlanta service locations include Best Friends Atlanta, Books for Africa, Captain Planet Foundation, CHOA, Covenant House, Cristo Rey, the Furkids Cat Shelter, Fulton County Schools, Girls, Inc., Good Mews, Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, Kate’s Club, Operation Gratitude, Project Open Hand, and the Georgia Special Olympics.

Employee Participation:

  • Hundreds of Voya’s 600+ Atlanta employees are expected to participate
  • Voya offers full-time employees 40 hours per year paid volunteer time
  • For the 2017 NDOS , Voya’s Atlanta employees contributed 1300+ hours to local nonprofits.
  • Nationally: In 2017, Employees worked 49,000 hours, helping hundreds of nonprofits.

About: 150 staff working to provide healthy meals to those in need, FCE works to create self-sufficient and sustainable communities to create a hunger-free world.

About: One in Five Georgians are facing hunger. 50+ volunteers at the ACFB will work to sort, organize and pack recently donated food and personal care products for distribution to over 600 local partner agencies.
