Medi-Share operated by Christian Care Ministry celebrates 25 years of healthcare sharing

More than just health care, Christian Care Ministry is a community of people who share their lives, faith, talents, and resources

Christian Care Ministry (CCM) began in 1993 in the home of founding President John Reinhold. The Medi-Share program was developed to help Christians share medical bill costs. By the end of the first year there were 600 households enrolled in Medi-Share. That number doubled to 1,200 households by 1994.

Christian Care Ministry has experienced incredible growth and  has more than 350,000 members. Since 1993, more than $2.4 billion in medical bills have been faithfully shared and discounted by Medi-Share members.

A recent addition to Christian Care Ministry’s offerings is Friends Sharing Friends, a live broadcast that includes interviews with CEO Ted Squires, sermons, and performances by prominent Christian figures. Friends Sharing Friends has hosted such notable guests as activist Alveda King, comedienne Chondra Pierce, theologian Dr. Graham Lacey, baseball legend Daryl Strawberry, Christian teacher Kay Arthur, and singer Danny Gokey.

Christian Care Ministry will celebrate our 25th anniversary milestone with a number of community events throughout the year.
