Rally for Public Lands at Fort Caspar this Saturday
A diverse coalition of Wyoming citizens are gathering in Casper this Saturday to celebrate Wyoming’s public lands and to stand up against state legislative efforts to seize national forests, national parks, and other national public lands.
A broad range of hunting and angling groups, outdoor enthusiasts, recreation-based businesses, conservation organizations, and concerned citizens will come together at the Rally for Public Lands from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, at the Izaak Walton League Caspar Campground at 4205 Fort Caspar Road.
The rally will be free and open to the public and will feature live music, food, beer, and speakers. Addressing the crowd will be Chris Madson, celebrated writer and former editor of Wyoming Wildlife Magazine, Tania Lown-Hecht, author and communications director with Outdoor Alliance, and Land Tawney, president/CEO of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. John Gans, NOLS Executive Director, will MC the event.
