Three acts bring holiday cheer to Casper this weekend

(Casper, Wyo.) - "A Winter Wonderland” falls into the music building at Casper College for this year’s Winter Concert on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 2:30 pm. Three Casper College groups will steal the show including: The Brass Ensemble and the Concert Band, both under the direction of Douglas Bull, and the Flute Ensemble under the direction of Delores Thornton. Bull, brass instructor and band director, the CC Brass Ensemble will perform selections beginning at 2:30 on the concourse of the Music Building. At 3 p.m. the CC Flute Ensemble and the CC Concert Band will perform in the Wheeler Concert Hall also located in the Music Building. The flute ensemble will perform two selections: “Two Preludes for December for Double Flute Choir” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” The Casper College Concert Band will round out the afternoon concert with “Christmas Day,” “Angels We Have Heard On High,” “Fanfare and Hark, The Herald Angels Sing,” “And All The Bells On Earth Shall Ring,” “Waltz And Chacconne,” “The Bells Of Christmas,” and “White Christmas.” “A Winter Wonderland” concert is free and open to the public. #caspercollege #news #oilcity #whatshappening
