A $1.8 million grant for sewer infrastructure long Highway 20/26 is approved

(Casper, WY) – The Economic Development Joint Powers Board and the Casper Area Economic Development Alliance (CAEDA) submitted a grant application to the Wyoming Business Council which was discussed at the Wyoming Business Council Board meeting on December 9, 2015. The grant was recommended for approval in the amount of $1,855,432.50. In addition to the grant funding from the Wyoming Business Council, Nalco FabTech invested a grant match of $256,630 into the project. The next step in this process is for the grant to appear before the State Loan & Investment Board (SLIB) for approval in January of 2016. The project is the construction of sewer infrastructure along U.S. Highway 20/26 west of the Casper/Natrona County International Airport (C/NCIA). This will allow existing businesses in that area, including Nalco FabTech, LLC, the opportunity to expand and grow their facilities. This project will add to the potential to further develop and open up the area for future business growth. Existing businesses located along the project route currently have central water service but no central sewer service. Due to the limitations of this infrastructure, businesses are currently constrained in business expansion as to not overload their current capacity. The constructed system would consist of approximately 13,000 feet of gravity sewer, one lift station and 7,100 feet of force main sewer from the U.S. Highway 20/26 area. #oilcity #news #caeda #business
