Thanksgiving week high speed chase driver sent to District Court

(Casper, Wyo.) - This morning 30-year-old Russell Anderson's case was bound over to District Court following a high speed chase on November 26th. According to court records near mile-marker 165 along I-25, Anderson crossed the grass median and began driving south in the northbound lanes. Wyoming Highway Patrol intensified its efforts, and Trooper Doug Beran fired several shots at the driver of the vehicle. Reports indicate that one of the shots struck the passenger in the right leg. The vehicle was then intentionally rammed or 'pitted' shortly after, successfully ending the pursuit. Anderson was later cleared at WMC and charged with six counts: two counts of aggravated assault against the woman, promoting prostitution of his female passenger, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, and attempting to elude officers. During his initial appearance Anderson's bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety bond. Click to read more about this case . #oilcity #news
