Casper woman pleads guilty to felony larceny

(Casper, Wyo.) - Casper woman, Marie Jensen, plead guilty during her preliminary hearing to the single count of felony theft this morning. As part of her plea deal with the state, Jensen would face four to six years in prison all suspended for three years supervised probation, and she was ordered to pay more than $11,000 in restitution following a pre-sentence investigation. Count two of felony credit card fraud was dismissed. Court records show that Detectives at the Casper Police Department obtained a search warrant, and it was learned that a value of $10,702.71 were fraudulent charges on the credit card that she had obtained. Of the $10,702.71 of fraudulent personal purchases and approximately $500 of the charges were business purchases. Jensen later met with Casper Police Officers where she admitted she had used a company credit card to make purchases for her personal use without authorization. She stated in records that she did not know why she had done it. She stated that she didn't realize the total dollar amount of the items purchased until she added them up and left her list and apology letter. Detectives went to Jensen's residence and she showed them various items that she had purchased with the company credit card in three months; Jensen had obtained the credit card and made purchases for public use totaling $10,702.71. Jensen will be sentenced at a later date. #oilcity #news
