Casper man sentenced to five to ten years in prison for third degree sexual abuse of a minor

Twenty-one year old Ryan Ogden was sentenced to serve five to ten years in the WSP for third degree sexual abuse of a minor for sexually touching a nine-year-old girl in June 2015. The state elected to drop the second degree charge in exchange for his guilty plea to count two of third degree sexual abuse of a minor. According to the documents, he touched the girl while they were laying in bed alone. Sheriff’s investigators interviewed Ogden where he stated, he made a “mistake” and he let his hormones get the best of him, according to the affidavit. This morning before the Judge set the sentence Ogden commented, "I screwed up, I really screwed up. Sorry is an understatement." The Judge reported that both the state and the defense presented strong arguments and recommendations yet the 'victim impact is huge". "I don't see any legitimate excuse for your behavior, " commented the Judge. Ogden was ordered to serve five to ten years in the Wyoming State Penitentiary with a possible boot camp recommendation. #oilcity #news
