Robert Alan Gremp

Robert Alan Gremp July 25, 1940 - January 2, 2016 Robert Gremp, age 75, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016. Born in Chicago, Illinois, to Edward C. Gremp and Gertrude L. Gremp (Flieger). At the age of 5, Robert and his family moved from Chicago to Lansing, Illinois, where he resided until the early 1960's. He is survived by his father, Edward, his younger brother, Kerry, and his younger sister, Barbara, who currently resides in Lander Wyoming. Robert is also survived by his two children, Corey and Vivian. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews throughout the country. Robert was a member of the Free Masons and a former member of the Order of DeMolay. Robert was also a former student of Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana, where he majored in civil engineering, and played clarinet in the Purdue marching band. He later was employed at the Gremp Steel Company in Chicago as a draftsman and purchasing agent. Robert was also an accomplished musician, performing briefly in several bands in the Chicago suburbs. Robert was a graduate of Culver Military Academy and later served in the Army, where he received an honorable discharge. Many thanks to all of his friends and caregivers, especially to Dawn Wood, who cared for him over the past several years and was by his bedside during his final moments. Our gratitude goes beyond words. Funeral services for Robert will be held at 10:00am, on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Bustard’s Funeral Home Chapel in Casper, WY. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 7, 2015, from 4pm-7pm at Bustard's Funeral Home. #oilcity #obits
