Monday night the Natrona County School Board met for their first meeting of 2016. The board of trustees received an update on the school construction projects in and around Casper. Kelly Walsh High School construction continues as crews have begun installing carpet, painting and plan to install the gym floor in February. The John F. Welsh Auditorium at NCHS work continues and crews are painting and adding drywall to the building. NCSD indicates that Dean Morgan Jr. High is nearing completion. During the meeting the board also approved the Board Construction Steering
Committee's recommendation to award a contract to Sampson Construction for
the construction of the new capacity elementary school (on the site of the
Sampson's bid was for $11,569,000. Construction could start as soon as the
end of February.
The next Board of Trustees meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 25 at
7:30 p.m. at NCSD's Central Services Facility (970 N. Glenn Rd.).
