Become part of the solution, volunteer your time and make a difference as a first responder

The Casper Police Department is currently looking for volunteers to work with their Victim Response Unit. If you are interested in becoming a professionally trained crisis first responder, they are looking for you! All candidates interested in this opportunity must complete an application, full background investigation, an oral interview and 40 hours of training. Training will be a combination of online training and 12 hours of class time completed at the Casper Police Department on February 26th and 27th. Training online will need to be completed within 30 days and the remaining training will focus on community resources to help volunteers respond to any type of scene they may be called to respond to. First responders will be required to respond to crimes of domestic violence, assaults, robberies, homicides, natural deaths, accidents and any other calls that may have an emotional and physical need for support from our unit. If you have some time to give back to your community and a strong desire to help those in need this may be the volunteer opportunity you have been looking for. Please request an application form at the Police Department. All applications will need to be completed and returned no later than February 8, 2016. Become part of the solution, volunteer your time and make a difference.
