Dispatch: Male sprays ten gallons of fuel at Ghost Town; Male found sitting in lawn chair, arrested for public intoxication

On Friday, January 29th at approximately 7:40 pm Casper Police Officers responded to S Minnesota Avenue to take a report of an intoxicated male subject who reportedly was falling down in the street. The male was described to officers as not being able to walk and was becoming verbally combative towards persons in the area. On arrival to the location officers observed a male subject sitting in a lawn chair on the sidewalk in front of a residence along S Minnesota Avenue. Officers made contact with the male, who was identified as Richard H Yount. Reports continue, officers asked Yount about what had taken place. Yount informed officers in court records, that he had been walking down the sidewalk and had slipped on a patch of ice and had fallen down. He reported that he was not injured. Officers noticed Yount's speech was slurred and they could smell an overpowering odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. Yount stated that he had consumed a pint sized bottle of vodka earlier in the evening. Officers observed Yount to be highly intoxicated and was unable to stand unassisted due to the level of his intoxication. Yount later submitted a portable breath sample to officers where he reportedly recorded a BAC level of 0.205%. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication. *Calls:* Over the weekend Casper Police Officers responded to *388* calls including one animal noise, four assaults, two clear the lots, one dead animal, thirteen disturbances, two drugs, nine family fights, three fights, five frauds, two gas leaks, thirteen hit and runs, one indecent exposure at East Wal Mart, three loud music, and six public intoxication. *Arrests:* *Natrona County Sheriff's Office* Terry S Berg, serve jail time. Michael B Tyler, public intoxication. *Total Inmates Reported*: 260 *Calls:* Natrona County Sheriff's Office responded to *93 *calls including explosives destruction along South Loop, a downed power line, and a fuel spill at Ghost Town Truck Stop. NCSO reported that they responded to a fuel spill at Ghost Town Truck Stop. It was reported that a male got upset with another person at a gas pump and the unknown male sprayed ten gallons of fuel on the ground and then drove away. NCSO spoke Truck stop staff and the incident was recorded if the unknown male ever returned to station. #oilcity #news
