What to do with all that Snow!

(Casper, Wyo.) - Remember Casper, shoveling or pushing snow into the street or the gutter is prohibited. Instead, prepare for Spring and Summer by throwing that snow back on your lawn. This will help road crews and not to block sidewalks and/or driveway/parking lot entrances. Due to the constant and excessive winds here in Casper (which we all Love) snow that has been shoveled into the street can form drifts which may cause streets to become slick or impassable. It can also turn into hard packed snow banks that present a hazard to vehicles and emergency responders as they try to maneuver up and down a street. Please keep in mind that although not required by City Ordinance, keeping and maintaining the sidewalks free and clear of snow and ice is important so that pedestrians, children walking to school, and delivery personnel such as the mail carrier or newspaper delivery person can safely navigate the sidewalks in your neighborhood.
