Peanut Butter Jelly Time at Wyoming Food for Thought

(Casper, Wyo.) - Today was Peanut Butter Jelly Time at Casper's Wyoming Food for Thought! Jamie Purcell, Executive Director of WFFT told Oil City, Today over twenty volunteers helped build 950 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Wyoming Food for Thought Project to use in their weekend food bags. Stations were set up for building PB & J's with donated bread, much of it made locally by Great Harvest Bread Company. There were also stations for individually packing bagels donated by the Flour Bin Bakery. "This weekend, school kids will be out of school for 4 days in a row. Plus, we are serving over 600 children every single weekend, so using our resources to the fullest is growing ever more important," said Purcell. WFFT relies heavily on the involvement of the community to help them serve their mission of giving children who live with hunger direct access to good and healthy food. To get involved visit today,, or call 337-17003. Photos: h.t WFFT/Pitchengine Communities #oilcity #news
