NCHS Fillies look to re-claim the State Title this weekend

(Casper, Wyo.) - The Natrona County Fillies look to continue their winning stream going into the 2016 4A State Championships this weekend. Fillies head coach, Dough Diehl has his ladies prepared and commented at Tuesday's practice, "These girls have been ready for awhile, they have been craving some teams to compete with and they are focused on Central." Diehl continued to comment that his girls have put up an outstanding record of 19-2 and he told us that the running joke all season has been that if they can win 22 games they can be State Champs again. The Fillies only two losses this season came from out of state teams. "These girls have done everything that we have asked them to do and they are one of the hardest working groups I have had the privilege of coaching. They are a whole bunch of overall athletes and great students in the classroom." Diel hopes that his seven Filly seniors can lead the charge through the tournament and re-claim the 4A state title. NCHS is ranked number one and will begin their quest for the State title on Thursday at 10:30 am against Cheyenne Central at Casper College. Good luck Fillies this weekend! #oilcity #news
