(Casper, Wyo.)- During last night's City Council work session, City of Leisure Services director, Doug Follick updated the council members on the upcoming changes to the Casper Events Center. Follick reported that current Casper Events Center Manager, who has been the manager for more than thirty years, Budd Dovala announced his plans to retire this Summer. Follick and his staff then began to look and consider private management of the facility. "We looked at two management organizations, the first was Spectra, and we have been working with them in the past as they handle our ticket sales for the Events Center. SMG, another company came to us and expressed interest, but we have not heard much back from them," said Follick. Spectra Events and Entertainment

Casper City Mayor Daniel Sandoval questioned Zinigoni, "Can you deliver on
booking big events at the Events Center? That is what we want to know."
Spectra Events Director of Business Development, Peter Zinigoni, responded,
"We have a really strong presence in this region and have access to a pool
of entertainment. We are also very flexible for a time frame."
Vice Mayor Steve Cathey commented, "We do need to be careful in
negotiations and respect our employees and current city employees at the
Events Center. This becomes the framework for the negotiations."
