Suspected Edgerton firearms thief arrested

(Natrona County,Wyo.) -On Thursday, March 24th Natrona County Sheriff's Office was called in to investigate a burglary where several firearms had been stolen at a residence in Edgerton, Wyoming. At approximately 11:01 am a male, later identified as eighteen-year-old Tyler Utecht, notified officers that he was the one who had stolen the firearms, according to reports. On March, 25th at approximately 12:41 Natrona County Sheriff Investigators interviewed Utecht who stated in court records, that on March 22nd at approximately 5:00 pm he went to a residence in Edgerton and used a key to enter the residence. He then took two firearms. He explained to officers that he had a key because he was a roommate of the owner previously. He admitted to officers that he did not have permission into the residence. He would later pawn the firearms to a fire arms dealer in Natrona County. Reports continue to show that on March 24th at approximately 3:00 pm Utecht and an un-named minor went back to the residence in Edegerton and took three more firearms and pawned them off. The minor reported that he/she only took watches and a box of Ramen Noodles. The minor advised that Utecht used a key to enter the residence and then used a knife to cut the mattress in the bedroom, cut up the furniture, and stuck the knife in the walls to make it look like a burglary.
