“Oceanography and Creatures of the Sea” Saturday Club Topics

The April edition of the Tate Geological Museum’s Saturday Club will look at “oceanography and creatures of the sea,” said Russell Hawley, Tate Geological Museum Educational Specialist. The free event will take place on Saturday, April 2 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. “Those attending the next Saturday Club will learn about the ocean and the diverse creatures that live in it. We will practice using bathymetric data to construct a topographical map of the sea floor, and assign various sea creatures to their proper depth zone in the marine ecosystem,” Hawley said. The Saturday Club usually meets on the first Saturday of each month. The club has two age divisions, one for students aged 8 and older, and the other for children aged 5 to 7. There is no cost for children to attend the club. The Saturday Club takes place at the Tate Geological Museum, located on the Casper College campus.
