Dispatch: Male steals new shoes to walk to Colorado for concert; Arrests and more

(Casper, Wyo.) - Here is a recap of law enforcement activity from around Natrona County over the past twenty-four hours. All those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges filed are subject to change following official filing from Natrona County District Attorney's Office. *Arrests:* *Casper Police Department* Sharon L Bryant, Casper, contempt of court. Carrie A Creager, Casper, public intoxication. Johnathan A Harris, Gillette, shoplifting. On Monday at approximately 1:00 pm Casper Police Officers were dispatched to 4400 E. 2nd Street Walmart for a report of a shoplifting incident. Officers were advised by dispatch that a Johnathan Harris was in the security office being cooperative, according to court records. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the Harris. Harris told officers that he had come into the store with a couple of friends. Harris went by himself into the shoe aisle where he put on a new pair of shoes that were being sold by Walmart. Harris placed his old shoes in the box the new shoes had come from and began to walk out of the store, according to reports. Harris said that he intended to sell the shoes because he was planning to walk to Colorado for a concert and the shoes he had were hurting his feet. Harris said in records that he acted alone and his friends had left before he stole anything. Officers then spoke with the reporting party who stated that Harris had entered the store with a couple other males. Eventually he saw Harris walk by himself into the shoe department where he took off the shoes he was wearing. Harris put on a new pair of shoes that had not been purchased and placed his old shoes that he had worn into the store into the empty box. Reports continue to show that Harris then attempted to walk out of the store where he was stopped by the RP. Officers later would find his old shoes in the new shoe box and arrest Harris for shoplifting. He was transported to the Natrona County Detention Center without incident. Alexis F Milani, District Court Bench Warrant. Juan A Caspruita, crsty hold for agency. Joseph W Martinez Jr., Criminal Warrant. *Department of Criminal Investigations* Amanda J Luther, three possession of controlled substances. *Mills Police Department* Sarah A Stowe, interfering w/911 call, domestic battery. *Total Inmates Reported*: 248 *Calls:* Natrona County Sheriff's Deputies responded to *37* calls including one fraud, two disturbances, one loud music and seven traffic stops.
