The show will go on, WSO brings in new horn player for upcoming concert

(Casper, Wyo.)- This weekend the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra will be presenting their concert Finale at Casper College. Rachel Bailey, WSO Executive Director and staff reported today, I*mmediately upon learning of the sexual harassment allegations against Boston University professor and Horn Player Eric Ruske, the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra suspended his contract for this weekend’s concert in Casper, Wyoming. He will not be playing with the symphony this Saturday and Sunday.* *Our concert, Finale, will continue as scheduled with our Principal Hornist and University of Wyoming faculty member, Katherine Smith. “Katherine has wowed us with her superior playing all season long, and we are very excited to give the opportunity to her. The Wyoming Symphony Orchestra musicians are ready to play and it will be a fabulous last concert at Wheeler,” says Matthew Savery, Music Director.* *The Wyoming Symphony Orchestra would like to thank our patrons and look forward to ending this season with a successful weekend of outstanding music. We will be performing at Wheeler Concert Hall on April 16th at 7:30 p.m. and April 17th at 2:30 p.m.* Bailey continued to report that they have brought in Katherine Smith to replace Ruske.
