7 KWHS DECA students represented Wyoming in Nashville

(Nashville, Ten)-Seven Kelly Walsh High School DECA members and advisers, Bryce Flammang and Jill Thompson, attended DECA's International Career Development Conference in Nashville to compete against over 18,000 worldwide members. Five chapter members received Competency Certificates in their competitive area: - Cayley Anderson - Alexys Arnold - Kendra Brutsman - Lindsay Goodwin - Jacob Pique Kendra Brutsman, KWHS junior, received a medal of excellence as she was recognized as a top performer during her Personal Financial Literacy role play competition. ​She earned an elite spot as a finalist (18 top scorers in a role play competition were selected out of 160) in the category of PFL. She also took a 100 question multiple choice test which involved questions dealing with financial literacy. Kendra is a first-year member of DECA and was a student in Thompson's Financial Literacy class last fall. Kendra is the daughter of Paul and Kara Brutsman. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
