Relay For Life in Casper Brings Community Together To Save Lives from Cancer

(Casper, Wyo.) - The American Cancer Society is recruiting teams from local families, businesses, schools, places of worship, and the community as a whole to participate in the annual Relay For Life of Casper on July 29 at Kelly Walsh High School. Relay For Life teams are committed to help save more lives from cancer by raising funds for the Society. Teams and individuals can learn more and sign up for the Relay For Life event by visiting relayforlife.org/casperwy. Relay For Life teams take turns walking around the track on the day of the event, and they also raise funds in the months leading up to the Relay For Life. “Relay For Life is a chance to make the greatest impact in building a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer,” said Jonathon Schmidt, community manager, Relay For Life. One of the programs that will benefit from Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society Road To Recovery® program. Road To Recovery trained volunteer drivers donate their time and the use of their personal vehicles to provide rides to cancer patients to and from their cancer-related treatments. The Society is currently recruiting volunteers in the hopes of starting the program in Casper soon.
