Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum honors history of women in the Armed Forces

Yesterday at the Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum, curator Doug Cubbison gave a fascinating program on the history of women in the U.S. Military beginning with WWI through contemporary deployments. The program was a concise and interesting introduction to the struggles and advancements of women in the armed forces which will be continued next Saturday, May 14th at the Casper Events Center. The Veterans Administration is sponsoring an all day event for women veterans at the Casper Events Center entitled "Promoting Our Women Warriors of Wyoming" (POWWOW). The Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum has partnered with the Veterans Administration to produce a women's military fashion show chronicling the history of women's military uniforms as well as the history of women in uniform, during the POWWOW.
