70th Casper College graduation ceremony is tonight

Casper, Wyo.) - Graduation season continues tonight with the 70th Annual Casper College Commencement Ceremony at the Casper Events Center. At 7:00 pm college grads will take the walk across center stage to celebrate their years of hard word. Commencement speaker will be Casper College alumnus Micah Christensen, who graduated with honors from Casper College with a degree in communication studies in 2012. While attending Casper College, Christensen served as the Wyoming FFA State President, was selected to serve as debate team captain, and was a two-time International Forensic Association Lincoln Douglas Debate Champion. He went on to receive two bachelor’s degrees with highest honors in political science and communication at Arkansas State University in 2014. He was opinion editor for the school newspaper, competed nationally and internationally in debate, was named Who’s Who of Arkansas State University and won the 2015 Distinguished Service award. After graduation Christensen served as the campaign manager for U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis during the 2014 election cycle and is in his second year at the University of Wyoming College of Law. While in law school, he currently is a participant in the Energy, Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic, has successfully competed in multiple competitions and has made the Dean’s Honor Roll each semester.
