459 days until Wyoming Eclipse Fest; New director brought on board to lead the charge

(Casper, Wyo.) - With 459 days left until the Wyoming Eclipse Festival, a new director has been granted the reigns. ​The Casper Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Natrona County Travel and Tourism is pleased to announce and welcome Anna Wilcox as the new event director. “Anna has extensive experience managing large-scale events in multiple markets,” explained Brook Kreder, CEO of the Casper Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Her professional experience combined with her creativity and resourcefulness will help ensure a successful outcome for our community, our guests and stakeholders.” Wilcox will lead the charge of orchestrating the events and activities planned around the total solar eclipse happening August 21, 2017. She brings 16+ years of event planning and management to the position and has extensive experience leading staff and volunteers. She is also well versed in sales, fundraising and project/budget management. The selection committee had representation from the Casper Area Economic Development Alliance, the City of Casper, the Downtown Development Authority and the Casper Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
