Four day school week? Sign us up!

(Natrona County, Wyo.) - Midwest School is planning to go to a 4-day school week next year. The middle school and high school students will attend school from 8:00 – 4:00 and the elementary day will run from 8:15 – 4:00. Busing is available from Casper and Antelope Hills. The bus hub will be used at the regular time in the morning and a schedule will be developed for the afternoon. All middle school and high school students participating in athletics and activities can ride a late bus home after practices. More information on the bus times will be made available soon. For students needing additional support as evidenced by a “D” or “F” grade, Focus Friday sessions will be held from 8:30 – 12:00 on identified Fridays with teacher support. Busing, breakfast and lunch will all be available on these days as well. Enrichment opportunities will also be offered on Focus Fridays. Robotics, co-curricular clubs, and project based learning units will be available for elementary, middle school and high school students to take advantage of. The opportunity to attend the Pathways Innovation Center is still available to all juniors and seniors, with busing available to and from the campus. If you need more information on the new schedule please contact Chris Tobin at 253-3500. #oilcity #news
