Students tasked with naming new capacity school at the old CY Jr. High site

(Casper, Wyo.) - "We would like to thank the coal industry, this school is paid for from Coal lease funding, " commented NCSD Trustee Kevin Christopherson, at the dedication ceremony for the new school project taking place at the old CY Jr. High site. The students of Mills Elementary and Principal Coebie Logan, all celebrated as they were given the task of helping to name the school, select a mascot and pick the school colors. NCSD Public Relations coordinator, Allen Bruggman stated that Samsung Construction was awarded the contract to build the capacity school. The School Facilities Department also provided funding and the goal is to have the school completed by the Fall of 2017. Mills Elementary students were given the opportunity to sign one of the high beams to be hung in the new school. #oilcity #news
