Eagle Scout soars with service project, accumulating foods for fines

(Casper, Wyo.) -The Natrona County Public Library collected over 700 cans of food that was donated during the Spring Food for Fines drive, a joint effort with Ethan Hopkins for his Eagle Scout Service Project. "Over the years, we've thought about offering a spring drive, and when Ethan approached us with his Eagle Scout Project, it seemed like the perfect opportunity," said Community Relations Coordinator Nathan McGregor. "Working with Ethan to help raise food for the Wyoming Food for Thought Project was incredibly rewarding, and with summer reading upon us, we hoped to encourage everyone with fines to donate food so they can get back to discovering all that the library has to offer." Feature Photo: h/t NCPL/Pitchengine Communities
