(Casper, Wyo.) - The ladies of Germany and China continued exploring our Oil City this weekend as part of the promotional video for Brand USA, marketing our home to international visitors.
Friday, we caught up with Meimei Wu and Lucie Pohl at the Wonder Bar after
their adventures atop Casper Mountain
On Saturday, the ladies hopped in a boat with the Ugly Bug Fly Shop for
some Platte River fishing.
"Fly fishing is as much a part of Wyoming’s culture as the history of the
pioneers," said Lucie Pohl, Brand USA German on-camera host, who is a
native from Hamburg, Germany. "I have always wanted to try fly fishing! I
mean how hard can it be for a city girl?"
She caught a good-sized trout on Saturday.
The ladies also took a trip to our National Historic Trails Center for the
Heritage Days celebration.
Meimei Wu reported about the experience, "This natural history museum
combines the fascinating history of the pioneers with stunning views of the
city of Casper. This is a place for young and old to have a real fairy tale
Meimei is originally from Beihai City, Guangxi Province, China, who now
lives in Highland, NY.
