Two dead following afternoon wreck along Hwy 257

(Casper, Wyo.) Two people have deceased following a Friday afternoon wreck along Highway 257 and Robertson Road. Lt. Chris Schell with the Wyoming Highway Patrol reported that a Jeep (vehicle 1) was headed south bound on Robertson Road, a Dodge with horse trailer (vehicle 2) was headed west bound on WY 257 and the International (vehicle 3) was headed east bound on WY 257. Vehicle 1 failed to stop or slow for the stop sign at the intersection of WY 257 and Robertson Road. Vehicle 2 was unable to stop or avoid striking vehicle 1 in the drivers side causing it to roll in to the south west ditch, the horse trailer rotated counter clockwise into the west bound lane of WY 257. Vehicle 3 attempted to avoid the collision of vehicle 1 and 2 by swerving in to the oncoming lane of travel. The horse trailer being towed by vehicle 2 swung sideways in the roadway and vehicle 3 struck the trailer causing it to separate from the towing unit. Vehicle 2 continued in to the ditch at the south west corner of the intersection. Vehicle 3 rotated 180 degrees and came to rest in the ditch at the north west corner of the intersection. There were five people involved. Four were not wearing their seat belts and one is unknown. There were two fatalities and two injured.
